ARA Peer-to-Peer Interchange Info in
F-Key Searches and Exchange
We are making a change to Trading Partners (F-key) search results, to provide our customers with additional interchange information from ARA.

The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA)'s Peer-to-Peer Interchange Observations Committee takes interchange contributions/notes from recyclers. This committee collects recycler-to-recycler part interchangeability information that doesn't necessarily meet the criteria for traditional interchange information (for example, part modification or fitment information based on recyclers' experiences). ARA's goal is to help you make more sales outside of what is provided by traditional interchange.

Once information has been reviewed and endorsed by the ARA Peer-to-Peer Interchange Observations Committee, Car-Part.com is making this information available to our auto recycler customers through Trading Partners (F-keys) and through Checkmate's Car-Part Exchange yards, at no additional charge.
If you already subscribe to Trading Partners and/or Exchange yards, there is nothing you need to do. Your searches will soon automatically include this information (when available).

How it Looks in Trading Partners

When this information is available, it will be included as a result at the top of your results.

The result will show a "Dealer" of ARA Peer to Peer Info and the Stock# will be INT-INFO. When you see this, that means this line is information from ARA.

Refer to the Description for the notes from ARA's Peer-to-Peer Interchange Observations Committee. You can type these interchange numbers into your management system to do a quick search for these additional parts that you may have in stock.

If the information is too long to fit in the normal Description, it will be added as an image. In the illustration below, you can see that there is a brief note in the Description, and then you can click the image to see additional information.

If you do not wish to have these ARA Peer-to-Peer Info notes appear in your results, contact your web support tech to have it removed.

How it Looks in Checkmate

When this information is available, it will be included in your results as an Exchange yard.

The result will show a "Location" of ARA Peer to Peer Info, Manassas, VA. When you see this, that means this line is information from ARA.

Refer to the Description for the notes from ARA's Peer-to-Peer Interchange Observations Committee. If the Description says "see notes" then hit your F-key to open Trading Partners for additional information, as seen above.

If you do not wish to have these ARA Peer-to-Peer Info notes appear in your results, contact your Checkmate support tech to have it removed.

Note

Please note that ARA Peer-to-Peer Info is endorsed by the ARA Peer-to-Peer Interchange Observations Committee. For your convenience, we are making it available to you in Trading Partners and Car-Part Exchange as described herein.  The ARA Peer-to-Peer Info is being provided on an as-is basis.

iCPM Tip

A quick way to look up additional part options (or your own), is to use iCPM! On the Interchange tab, type in the part code and interchange number (e.g., TRA-3454 or 400-3454).  This allows you to keep your IMS screen open to the original search.
